These loans are meant to offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by drought events in August.
The SBA listed the primary counties affected as Doña Ana and Otero counties. Small businesses in Bernalillo, Chaves, Cibola, Eddy, Luna, Lincoln, Otero, Sierra, Socorro, Torrance and Valencia are also eligible. Businesses that were impacted by drought conditions are eligible, as are businesses that suffered agricultural and ranching losses.
These businesses, and small agricultural cooperatives and small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size, may qualify for disaster loans of up to $2 million.
Dona Ana, Eddy, Lincoln, Otero and Sierra counties in New Mexico, have until June 14, 2021 to apply.
Eligible businesses in Bernalillo, Cibola, Dona Ana, Luna, Otero, Sierra, Socorro, Torrance and Valencia counties in New Mexico have until June 16, 2021 to apply.
